Same Game, Different Faces
Honor the past by researching & studying history
I am the bridge that connects the “past” to the present; from my aunt Audrey Faye Hendricks who participated in Children’s March of 1963, to the black youth who participate in #BlackLivesMatter. This series visualizes the continuation of black suffering in the “post-racial” America.

Black history is American history. We must never forget the black men, women, and children who risked their lives and who made the ultimate sacrifice. The visualization serves as a reminder and allows for post memory to begin. First used by Marianne Hirsch "post memory" are the memories of traumatic events that live on to mark the lives of people who were not there to experience them. America was built on the back of slaves and we must acknowledge and never forget that.
